Cove Balcony Stateroom ... Carnival Dream ... February 2010 ...

Our cove balcony stateroom was on the main deck (deck 2) on the Carnival Dream to be specific Stateroom 2-403 ... the balcony was considerably larger than the balcony on the Carnival Freedom ... the new style of deck chairs were fantastic ... light and adjustable for comfort ... one drawback if you were not on the sunny side of the ship the balconies were very cool due to the shadow of the promenade deck directly above ... but they were very private ...

The stateroom itself was much like any other cruise ship Costa, Carnival, Princess ... what I did not like was the missing small hallway with the closets and wardrobe ... on this ship they were all along the hallway ... the closet doors were always getting in the way of the bathroom door or stateroom door ... and the most annoying thing was the main closet where the hangers were one behind the other not side by side as in a traditional closet layout ... so you had to dig through everything to find an item as the clothes were hanging one in front of the other ... strange ... must be a European design to save space ...

Our steward was exceptional and kept our stateroom spotless and always supplied with ice and toiletries ... his name was Joe and I forgot to get his picture for the blog ... but thank you Joe for a job well done ...

All in all a very nice cabin ... I would give it an 8 out of 10 score ...
